I cannot believe that I have only 4 months before my trip to Sudan!! As time draws nearer, it is time that I get serious about raising money for the trip…$4850 to be exact!
I am trying to be creative with fundraising ideas, as I want people to benefit from my efforts just as I will. So far, I have had several good suggestions and I have come up with a few ideas on my own. I will be following the advice of Aid Sudan by requesting financial support from family and close friends, but I also want to get others involved in a less explicit way!
So, the first fundraising strategy that I will be using is to apply all of my photography earnings toward my trip. I believe that I was blessed with my photography talent and the opportunity to start my own successful business. I will be using that gift to help pay for this one. 100% of my photography proceeds will be going toward my trip to Sudan.
Some other ideas/plans are:
- Garage Sale of my own and donated items
- Benefit motorcycle ride
- Benefit dinner or cook out
- Item sales on websites such as Amazon.com or Etsy.com
- Donation button on blog
